By day I’m a scientist; ensuring Irish cows are eating good food &have healthy yummy milk&livers! By Night,(or any time after 5-ish!),my passion is cooking. Raised in a pub on my mum’s spicy Asian food&spoiled by my gran’s baking, I understand flavour, texture & hard work. Moreover I know the science behind the process. I love the alchemy of eggs & cook savoury dishes just as well as I bake. I’m tired of making sure cows eat delish food. I want to win chef factor so I can make food my day job!

Macarons are a bite of French heaven; beautiful but fiendishly temperamental. My knowledge stretched only as far as eating them until I decided to make 300 wedding coloured macarons as a gift for a close friend. It was a pleasure to create a personal & delicious wedding memory for her. I chose this recipe for chef factor as it shows my dedication to perfecting difficult things. It is a composite I adapted & tested many times to find the perfect method, after many batches, mine have lovely feet!
