I’m experimenting with soups for the chillier season. This one ticks all the boxes. Hot & sour, flavoursome & filling; prawns, broth, mushrooms, heaven. While eating it you have to breath a lot, make noise, concentrate. It’s giddily unrefined. It’s also simply good food; what people deserve & should expect. It’s a tough one to cook properly.Too sour, crap. Too saltly, yuck. Is it a winner?God knows. My family & friends seem to smile a lot when they’re eating it though–i think that's a good thing!

Looks amazing, how do you make that?
Madeleine,
This looks exactly waht we need up here in the North West to keep are bones warm for the Winter snap ahead. Looks so tasty and love the variety of flavours!!! Yum... we want some in Sligo!!
Looks devine and heart warmingly comfy!!
Good luck x
This is the kind of thing that would be perfect for New Years Eve...keeping you toasty for the fireworks! Looks 'yummy'
Wow - your dish looks great. Just the thing for these cold winter months. I hope that you win.
This soup looks amazing ! Could all really do with a bit of exotic cockle warming sliding down yer throat and making yer extremities tingle type broth......also looks a bit too complicated to make if you haven't sojourned in Ballymaloe or progressed past spreading Dolmio on toast to approximate pizza slices....so send some to the midlands !
Need some heartwarming soup now to shorten the long winter days well done
This looks lovely - winter warming with a bit of spice
Hi Madeleine,
This is my FAVOURITE kind of food!

Those ingredients sound like the perfect soup. I LOVE soup and would definitely try a soup with my three favourite ingredients - prawns, mushrooms and chillies. YUM!
delish!
Can all your ingredients be sourced locally. Looks great!

As somebody who has tasted this fine soup back in October it is perfect for the cold season. Additionally, it is perfect for warding off any flu like symptoms and brining you back up to speed especially in an Irish climate. Flavours are perfect and that chili really gets you going. Keep up the good work at Fishy Tarts.

The soup looks yummy! Would you share the recipe? It's cold over here in the USA and a hot spicy fish soup would be just the ticket to warm us all up! Mary Alice
I can't wait to try this soup Madeleine! Perhaps Maire will have on the Menu for Christmas:-)
Best of luck & hope you win!
