I'm back again this year to try to reach my goal of going to Ballymaloe. I have always loved cooking but never got to pursue it as a career. After my youngest child went to school two years ago I felt it was time to follow my dream. I would love to have a catering business providing excellent food to people. The opportunity to attend Ballymaloe and also to work with you two guys is massive. I know I have it in me.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish: 
This is a wholesome and hearty winter soup. I sauteed onion for a short while before adding sweet potato and chorizo. After a few minutes I added homemade chicken stock (really!) and simmered for about 15 minutes. After blending I added cream and served it with multi-seeded brown bread which I make regularly. Its got body and heat and I really hope I get the opportunity to make it for you.
