Spanish Spicy Chicken

You have 500 characters to tell us why you should win Cheffactor:
Having been unemployed for the past 2 years and with nothing obvious on the horizon by way of even an interview, this would be a means of obtaining a new lifeskill, that could lead to bigger and better things. It would be the fulfilling of a long held dream to pursue a path in the culinary world, and in time, and with the right guidance, open up a business of my own and hopefully, as Chef/Restauranteur, secure a pension in the future.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
Spare the expense not the flavour. Long-grain rice cooked in stock infused with turmeric. The cheaper, more flavoursome chicken thigh meat is used, together with chorizo & red pepper for that Spanish touch. Add some onions, garlic & frozen peas. Some chopped parsley to garnish & maybe some crusty bread to mop up any juices. What’s more it’s all cooked in one pot (I like to be economical with the dirty dishes). A plateful of Spanish sunshine.

Vote for my Dad!

Hi everybody,

Please vote for my Dad. It'd mean everything to him to win this opportunity of a lifetime. He's the best Dad in the world and I'd love to see him living the dream.

And we couldn't go without mentioning the mini 'Cully & Sully' apron in the background made by my wonderful Mam. The words are even made from pasta and rice to continue the food theme!

Thank you if you've already voted!

Kind comments

Thank you Kelly for your kind comments. Maybe we can exchange recipes. I have a few candidates (pheasants) in my front garden who like to let themselves be known around dawn (not my best time of the day). Time for them to meet their "jus desserts".
