I am 18 since May and my passion is food and cooking. I love to cook for my family and friends. My food hero and my inspiration is my Nana , she has taught me the basics of cooking and I have been cooking and baking at home since I was 8(supervised of course).
I would love this once in a lifetime opportunity to train in Ballymaloe as it would set me on my journey to fulfil my dream of becoming a chef.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
The name of my dish is Smoked Salmon and veg stack. This is a recipe which I found in Gino D'Acampo's latest cook book but I put my own twist on it. It is layers of smoked Salmon with chopped fresh seasonal vegetables such as Avocado, Carrot, Yellow peppers, tomatoes and my mam’s home grown and pickled beetroot. I have dressed it with Lemon, Olive oil and English mustard dressing. Then a little drizzle of Balsamic Vinegar and beetroot vinegar. Absolutely Yummmmmmmmmmm.
