Cooking is the one part of my day that I really enjoy. There is nothing better than your family & friends enjoying the food you have prepared.I made my first cake at 10 years of age for my school friend that was coming to stay–a Coffee Cake!I’m a little older now and I’m still passionate about cooking. My dream, one day would be to own a B&B, with the option for those staying with us to enjoy a home cooked family evening meal. Winning the competition would certainly bring me one step closer.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
This tart combines 2 of my favourite ingredients – pears and chocolate and its also my husband’s favourite! After lining the flan tin with homemade short-crust pastry, melt some chocolate and spread across the base. Combine ground almonds, caster sugar, eggs (free-range of course) and butter, then spoon over the chocolate base. Top with pear quarters, sprinkle with flaked almonds and cook for 30 mins. Hey presto – its done!
