I should win because I’m sincerely passionate about food.I can talk about food all day long,or spend countless happy hours experimenting in the kitchen.Over the years, I have amassed more recipes than I could ever use!I have all of Darina’s and Rachel Allen’s cookbooks,so it would be a dream come true to be tutored by them. I am studying for a FETAC Level5 Business Award with a view to starting my own business in the food industry.The prize would be a perfect step towards my dream career.

Everyone loves meatballs but this irresistible recipe, which an old woman in Calabria, Italy shared with me last winter, is particularly special. It’s a traditional recipe with a mouthwatering twist that leaves all my friends and family begging for a second helping! The ingredient that sets my meatballs apart is the surprise addition of cheddar cheese. This gives the sauce a fuller flavour, putting a delicious spin on an old favourite and making my meatballs truly mighty!
