The cake is designed in the shape of a skull and crossbones but with the cheffactor competition theme....the chef's hat signifying the 'Chef' and the crossed wooden spoons illustrating the 'X' factor that would be required to win such a competition. The cake mix is a basic victoria sponge base that my mum taught me to make, having learned it from her own mother. The mix can be easily adapted to give a chocolate or coffee cake depending on the preference of those who will be eating it.
