You have 500 characters to tell us why you should win Cheffactor:
I love to cook. I can follow any recipe but have difficulty coming up with my own ideas. This recipe is one of the few I can call my own. It would be a dream come true to have the opportunity to take part in a Ballymaloe cookery course, to indulge my passion and to learn to be more adventurous with food.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
The lightly floured pork fillet is pan fried in a little olive oil and butter. White wine, dijon and whole grain mustard are then added. Shortly before serving, cream is added. The meat is served over spinnach mash alongside seasoned roasted parsnips and carrots, buttered asparagus and sweetened baked apple. I serve the sauce from the pan on the side.

The Art of understated, original genius gets my vote***

'Ballymaloe Cookery School' is a perfect platform for discovering original chefs and developing their unique talents. I am a food critic myself and am always looking out for complex ideas with simple structure. A simply executed orchestra of olfactory genius served on a plate of understated magic.
I love your 'signature dish' it stands out. May this dream come true for you June.
Regards to all contestants, but without a shadow 'June' you have the 'cheffactor' and Get my vote

Cully & Sully competition - Junes' winter creamy pork Dijon

Let's hope this fantastic competition is based on the what the chef brings to the table, not on how to work internet marketing.
Realy like the fact that your dish is your own, may your honest application have an honest chance of seeing you get a well deserved opportunity in a super school. regards G K
