I want to be a rockstar in the kitchen!. As a young girl I can remember baking blackberry tarts and giving one to my grandad. Unfortunately for him I didnt use any sugar...I remember his face so clearly..kind of scrunched up but trying to hide it. I have never forgotten that...my first attempt at baking - the satisfaction of serving good food to others.Sometimes I get so excited thinking about food I have to calm myself down!. So bring it on...I want to learn & rock it out in the kitchen.

My dish is based on my handmade traditional black pudding.It is made from fresh pigs blood,unlike most puddings(thankyou pig).It is served on top of colcannon cake made using our own potatoes and milk from our dairy.The cake also contain scallions, kale,butter, sage and seasoning.On top of this are stewed apples (neighbours) and a caramelised apple slice. The garnish is chickweed (from the garden of course!).A tasty liitle supper using my best local ingredients. ROCK ON PUTOG DHUBH!!
