I'm a 3rd yr commerce student in UCC. I have a passion for food but I've found myself in the wrong, un-food-related course. I've had an interest in food since I can remember! While other kids were watching Nickelodeon, I was plonked in front of Derina, Delina, Rachael and the other greats on the TV. Winning Cheffactor would allow me to learn up close and personal from those I've learned so much from on TV and in papers & magazines. It would also allow me to pursue what I'm truly interested in!

My dish is a chocolate & Guinness cake with a Bailey's & cream cheese frosting. This combination often gets raised eyebrows, but the Guinness, like coffee, intensifies the chocolate flavour, making a moist, dense, rich chocolaty cake. The frosting was inspired by the 'Car Bomb' drink (a shot of Bailey's dropped into half pint of Guinness -this too gets raised eyebrows - it tastes like chocolate milkshake!) The creamy frosting compliments the rich chocolate cake nicely. One slice is never enough!
