Food and cooking have always been a big part of my life. I started to cook for myself and my family from a very young age and always knew I wanted to become a professional chef one day. Unfortunately, I never got the chance until now and ever since visiting the Ballymaloe School a few months ago, it has become my goal to do the course there and follow my dream. When I heard about Chef Factor I knew that it would be an opportunity of a lifetime for me. So here I am with my dish! :)
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
Pate has always been a favourite of mine...to make and to eat! The type I choose to present for Chef Factor is a delicious mix of chicken liver and smoked bacon. Fried to perfection with onion, garlic, smoked plums, butter, thyme, marjoram and a touch of brandy, the mixture was then blended, placed in a deep tray and into the oven. A thin layer of homemade cranberry sauce runs through the middle to give it that extra flavour. Perfect to serve as a starter with some crackers or toasted bread.
