You have 500 characters to tell us why you should win Cheffactor:
To give my family & friends peace & quiet!Ever since attending the 2 day bread course in Ballymaloe in 2005 I have longed to return to complete the 12 week course.Winning Cheffactor would give them a break from me constantly talking about it & genuinely make my dream come true. I simply love the buzz of cooking for people & would love nothing more than to gain the skills to develop this into a career & open my own cafe - with a promise to my sister to keep her chocolate biscuit cake on the menu!
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
I first devised this cake for my sister’s wedding last year. It’s rich enough to have an air of celebration but light enough to make on a large scale (it's easily multiplied/divided for any occasion - seen above as her birthday cake!) I use a combination of rich dark, smooth milk & creamy white chocolates melted with sticky golden syrup & silky condensed milk, mix in 2 kinds of biscuits & crunchy maltesers.Delicious & easy – my 3 yr old is a dab hand at helping proving for kids "cooking is fun"!
