Since I've been young, I have been really interested in food and baking. Over the last few years I have spent a lot of time baking for local markets and trying to increase my skills. I am passionate about food and dream about owning my own cafe and market garden some day. A trip to Ballymaloe has been a life long ambition as it would improve on my basic skills and give me an excellent knowledge of all aspects of food and the industry. Winning Chef Factor would bring me one step closer... :)

These savoury Cous Cous Cakes are perfect for lunch and can be eaten with just a green salad or also with some mixed beans for protein! They can also be served as a more substantial dinner with some chicken or fish and steamed vegetables. The cous cous is deliciously flavoured with plenty of coriander, garlic, cumin and lemon. The ingredients are mixed together and shaped into patties and gently fryed. Mine are served with a delicious dollop of Ballymaloe relish! Irresistable! Enjoy!!
