I will never forget the day I won the Cork Gas Cookery competition. I was 10 years old and I baked my mum’s famous queen cakes. I never ever thought I had a chance and I was picked by my 5th class teacher to represent the school in the city hall. I went on to win the competition, and to this day, it is the day (after many great achievements in my life) I will never forget. I haven’t stopped cooking since, and winning Cheffactor would finally let me do what I feel I was always meant to do!

My dish is my famous Primo Pavlova. I only baked this for the first time about 9 months ago and now it is the dish I am best known for. My friends ask me to bake it for their birthdays, my sisters make sure I bring one when I come for diner, and my work colleagues seem to have occasions every week for which I have to make my Pavlova. Only the freshest ingredients are used, organic eggs and fresh fruit. I have tweaked the original recipe a little to make it my signature dish. Scrumptious!
