My love for food has grown organically over the years to the point where it is a serious passion of mine now. It embodies my philosophies of life, love & family - all the things I care about. After 10 years in NZ, my culinary knowledge has exploded along with my love for fine wines!!My profession means I travel internationally but if I won this prize, I would take it as a sign that I am now meant to travel a different road...one in the food industry based in West Cork - how exciting is that!?!?!
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
This pizza is classic 'Friday Funday" in our house - my wife puts her feet up, we fill the house full of friends and family and kick back as the weekend begins. The dough is made in a breadmaker and I throw the pizza in classic Italian self taught style! The tomato base is my own recipe and the toppings are kept very simple, cheese,tomato,fresh herbs, olives and salami or whatever I find in the local markets that week. I have the discovered the awesomeness of West Cork cheeses and salami's!
