From a young age I have had a massive interest in cooking. This started with my Mum teaching me how to make all the classics and further progressed with shows like Darina Allens. I love cooking and everything to do with it. I believe in good honest home cooking and my entry reflects this. I'm happiest when cooking for friends and family and love planning for these events. Winning Cheffactor would be a dream could true.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
My dish is afternoon tea for 2 with freshly baked cranberry, sultana and orange scones (served with cream and homemade rasberry jam), almond tart, rasberry & blackberry meringue pies, marshmallows and chocolate macroons with chocolate ganache. This represents my keen interest in baking and a modern twist on a few traditional items! The receipe is based on inspiration from a collection of cook books and of course my Mammy's secrets!

You're making me hungry

After reading this post I couldn't resist going into the kitchen and eating the rest of last nights Apple Tart for breakfast!
