Food is what gets me through my day!I am constantly thinking of new recipes to try, reading cookbooks, looking up food websites and watching cookery programmes. I have come to realising the importance of local fresh produce in recipes and the fantastic taste this gives-as seen in Cully and Sullys delicious range of food products and recipes from Ballymaloe!I want to work with food for the rest of my life and winning this competition will help me achieve this so PLEASE PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

I was inspired to cook these cinnamon pecan rolls as I thought they looked simple to do yet very impressive at the same time. And I wasn’t wrong!The method is straight forward- firstly make the dough, then combine sugar,butter,pecan nuts and cinnamon together - this is for the filling. Then flatten out your dough and spread the filling on it and simply roll up just like a swiss roll!These are delicious and comforting as a mid morning treat with a cup of tea….Perfect for the cold winter months

The Swedes do a lot of these. Check out some delicious recipes by Swedish chefs. Should be plenty in English, and Google Translate is really good for Swedish-English. They call cinnamon rolls Kanelbullar - look 'em up!
