Today was very busy so I got up extra early so I wouldnt be under pressure and it all worked out very well.
I weighed up my ingredients for my bread, we cant mix this til our teachers arrive so left aside til later.
Next I made Colorado Sauce for my Chilli Con Carne. Its basically peppers, chilli, onion, garlic & salt. Then on to the chilli itself, prepared my meat (cubed beef instead of mince - much nicer), then my veg - browned them off and threw them together with the sauce to stew for a few hours.
Back to the bread which was Stripy Cat - basically White Soda Bread with chocolate chunks. Very nice indeed.
Then on to some more bread - Sweet Hot Corn Bread, a mix of flours with eggs, milk, cheese, spring onions, sweetcorn, tobasco etc. Really tasty.
I even had enough time to help my teacher make some lovely nibbles with left over choux pastry. We added some grated parmesan, chorizo & rosemary. We gobbled them up in minutes. Fantastic.
Next I made a Tomato & Coriander Salsa, with lime juice.
Finished off my chilli by adding kidney beans, cumin & tomato puree and reduced down.
I stole the gaucamole from Ray (thanks!)
Sorry Jai the picture is out of focus!!
