Another morning in the kitchen with a list of things to do! But before I begin, I must mention that each morning when cooking is complete we have to lay a taster plate out for our teacher to judge and score out of 6.
First I made a second attempt at "Mummy's Sweet White Scones". But of course, it is not possible for me to complete a full morning in the kitchen without a blunder so guess what... I burnt them while making my jelly. They still tasted yummy, not just my opinion, my teacher also agreed.
So while my scones were being scorched I moved on to Redcurrant Jelly! Fairly straight forward, the main thing is that its not cloudy i.e. dont push through sieve - I managed this just fine & got my first 6 out of 6. Woohoo!
While mastering my redcurrant jelly, I also got my spiced chicken drumsticks in the oven to bake (which I had prepared yesterday).
On to the most important part, dessert! On the menu the wonderful "Fluffy Lemon Pudding". This was fantastic if I do say so myself (not sure what score I got but my teacher was well impressed).
I didnt manage to get all courses finished together (sharing ovens etc) so I have 3 pictures and can only upload one. I thought the lemon pudding deserved to be the chosen one!

Hi Christine,
I'm enjoying reading your little daily snippets. Looks like things are looking up! I can't help thinking of Julie & Julia. On previous research!, I don't think that puddings are going to be your issue...
Cullen
You got your first 6 out of 6 for jelly......well you'd want to after all the preserving practise we have, hehehe.
