If you're not in, you can't win

Hi guys!

Having always been a bit backward about putting myself forward, I agonized for a long time about entering the Cheffactor competition - I knew with commitments and 2 little kiddies I would be unlikely to set the voting lines on fire, added to which my family and friends are not very 'facebookish'. Even though I get well over 7 thousand hits a month to my web page http://warmsnugfat.blogspot.com/, even that only generated a handful of extra votes. But still, I was glad that I did enter.

Emboldened by my new found bravery, I also put myself and my little blog forward for a chance to represent Ireland at France’s famous Salon du Blog with Bord Bia, a weekend in France doing cooking demos for an audience of French food bloggers using Irish food - and guess what? I won! So I am busy putting the finishing touches to my recipes for my first ever cooking demonstration next weekend - It's very excited to be following in the footsteps of Donal Skehan and showcasing for Bord Bia.

I have attached a pic of Three Irish Cheese Tarts, one of the recipes that I have been working on for the event and I would like to thank the Cully and Sully team for the timely reminder that 'If you are not in, you can't win'! I will continue to try to get any votes I can and would like to wish all the other hopefuls the best of luck as well!

Well done!

Hi Anne Marie,

I just needed to comment to you after reading your story! Firstly well done on the Salon du Blog - you must be so proud Smile I just had a quick look at your blog and it's lovely!

Like you this competition has really taken me out of myself, something which I'm so proud of right now - it's given me the little shove I always needed Smile

Best of luck in the rest of the competition - maybe I'll see you at the Chef Fcator Party Smile

Go Anne Marie, best of luck

Go Anne Marie, best of luck in France and maybe Cully and Sully will pick both of us as their wildcards!! The campaign trail is not going as planned for me either, maybe Michael Ds campaign manager is stuck for something to do for the next week!!http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cheffactor.ie%2Fcontent%2Fcompetition-entries%2Faunt-florences-orange-cake&h=5AQHYGv1RAQH-43Xka3rORhADdDSNUpX2koUA_j7OcdswBg
