I'm mad about food but especially food from Laos where I'm originally from. I've been living abroad for a while and find it difficult if not impossible to get Lao food. So I've decided to make it myself and share my love for Lao food with everyone! I like the idea of using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible and adapt my recipes accordingly. Winning the competition, will mean I get to learn skills that will help me in my culinary adventure and to promote my food to a broader public.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
my Lao fresh spring rolls, represent the food I like to cook and eat! it is fresh, simple ingredients are used and it's full of flavour. Those spring rolls are not fried, I used rice paper which I filled with rice noodle, coriander, lettuce, carrots, cucumber,mint, a bit of seared beef that has marinated in soy and honey, and some nasturtium flowers. Those spring rolls can be dip in a tangy sauce in which I put crushed garlic and chillies!
