I am just crackers/nuts/bananas about food. Some may consider me something of a fruitcake(!) but I just love anything to do with food...over the summer I ate mice in Malawi, I slaughtered a chicken (for the first time) in Uganda, last week we launched a new foodie radio programme on 98.3FM called 'Orally Fixated' and I am hoping to pursue my interest in food in a academic/careery sort of way when I graduate next year...the Ballymaloe course could make this happen! I'd be like a pig in muck :)

My banoffi pie is so good, it's (almost) famous!...it has even inspired marriage proposals!...all denied thus far. :p To make simply boil a can of condensed milk for 1 1/2 hours (ignore the warning on the can that tells you not to do this! :P). To make the base, pop 12 digestive biccies in a sandwich bag and crush using a rolling pin. Then combine with 4oz of butter. Smooth onto a tin. Layer the toffee on the base, followed by a neat layer of banana slices, whipped cream and choc shavings. Yum!

Thanks for all the votes already guys. Really appreciate it. I can't see who actually voted so please feel free (very free, geddit Tara?!) to just approach me and demand baked goods. I am likely to oblige.
