My mum is an excellent cook and passed on her love of food to us. Growing up, we were always encouraged to help out in the kitchen. Over the years, I’ve learnt a great deal from her. Even now, I still love baking or cooking for friends, there is nothing like a home cooked meal to bring people together. I am passionate about food, and would love the opportunity to learn more. A career in it would be a dream come true.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
The inspiration for my dish came from the creative cook book ‘A Zombie ate my cupcake!’. Instead of making gingerbread tombstones, I opted for vegetables and two gingerbread men ‘Cully’ and ‘Scully’. The thought process was I wanted to capture their business through baking. The recipe involved making gingerbread and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. The result is a deliciously indulgent representation of ‘Cully & Scully’.
