Put simply, there's nothing I love more than cooking up a taste sensation in the kitchen. I'm very much a trial and error cook, adding a pinch of this and a dash of that until whatever it is I am preparing is just right. Winning Cheffactor would give me an amazing opportunity to pursue a career working with food and the talented personalities in the industry. Even if the 'steaks' are high, I know I have the passion and innovation to go all the way.
You have 500 characters to tell us about your dish:
I ate some blueberries after having a steak dinner once and I thought 'why not?' So I went about making a blueberry reduction with some red onion, garlic, balsamic, blueberries, red wine and some sugar. My guinea pigs (friends I was living with) loved it and I haven't looked back since. Roasted veg are somewhat of a speciality of mine, keep it simple with just some olive oil, seasoning and thyme. The sweet potato mash is mixed with white potatoes to give a smoother texture. All in all it works.
