Today was the first day that we were allowed to cook ourselves and as my teacher would put it "I came a cropper". Now im not sure what exactly this means but I gather it means I made a balls of it, or something to that effect.

Day 2 in Ballymaloe Cookery School
Short demonstration of what we would be cooking later that morning. Introduction of teachers and tour of school kitchens etc. Embarrassing photo taken of all of us individually in our stunning chef's uniforms!
Learned how to chop veg (properly). Assisted in making bread, soup, pasta with mushroom a la creme, crumble and lemonade. All of this we then ate, yum yum!
After lunch, demonstration of tomorrow's cooking (which we get to do ourselves) - All of this we then ate, again yum yum!
I will be fat very soon.
